The Jessamine County Detention Center offers Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT) to those incarcerated in our facility. Our Class D Coordinator Captain Matt Fraddosio is a certified MRT Instructor and provides this valuable training to inmates in our custody. Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT) is a systematic treatment strategy that seeks to decrease recidivism among juvenile and adult criminal offenders by increasing moral reasoning. MRT is a unique cognitive behavioral treatment approach designed for the criminal offender populations. The program is designed to alter how offenders think and how they make decisions about right and wrong. There are 12 steps in the program and the offenders attend 24 to 36 sessions to complete MRT. We hope with the addition of this program that we will be able to give those incarcerated the tools necessary to become productive members of society upon release.
